Our mission is to make Nollywood visible, accessible, and celebrated in Germany, inviting film lovers, creatives, and communities to discover authentic African stories, engage in cultural dialogue, and join a growing movement that connects filmmakers and audiences across continents.

Founder, Nollywood Germany e.V.
Grace Evaly is a Nigerian-born filmmaker, actress, and cultural advocate based in Hamburg, Germany. Her creative journey began in 1994 in Lagos, where she discovered her passion for acting and storytelling, earning her first Nollywood film role in 1996.
After relocating to Germany in 2006, Grace continued to expand her artistic vision and founded Nollywood Germany e.V. in 2017 with base in Hamburg an initiative that connects African and European filmmakers, fosters new talent, and promotes authentic African narratives on the global stage.
Through her creative and public service work, Grace Evaly continues to inspire others using film and culture to build bridges, empower communities, and celebrate African identity with pride and purpose.
